Be a part of the Indianapolis 500 with Pippa Mann!

When Linking Indy Women offered me the opportunity to update everyone on my efforts to return to the Indianapolis 500 field, I jumped at the chance – primarily because it’s good news. My name is now officially on the entry list with Dale Coyne Racing for the 97th running of the Indy 500!

Putting my sheer excitement aside, the hard work obviously doesn’t stop here!  But this is what I’ve been training for, waiting for and hoping for – and I cannot wait to get back into the cockpit and out onto the track. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a hugely special place to be in May, and I’m so thankful that I’m going to be part of it again.

There is still plenty to be done behind-the-scenes though! Having put together a budget to run in this year’s race, it is still a relatively small budget and every dollar we can raise will help our program in 2013. Due to the primary funding coming from a B2B deal, we have space available on the car at a greatly reduced amount for this year’s Indy 500, and I’m hoping this might allow local companies to be officially affiliated with one of the drivers competing in the 500. Logos are available on the arm of my race suit from as little as $5K – $10K, with space on the car starting at around $25K – $50K.

Though it might still be fairly small signage, it gives a fantastic opportunity for businesses in the Indiana area to be a part of the big race, so if you would like further information on this or to discuss your company’s specific requirements, please contact me directly – pippamann@me.com.
